I was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 13, and I think it is important for me to advocate pediatric cancer through my photography. Many don’t know what it’s like to have cancer, and I feel there are a lot of misconceptions and assumptions about it which I explore through my images.
I want to spread awareness about the physical struggles before and after the cancer diagnosis, and the effects it has had on me. Photography has played a big impact on my life because I can express myself through my photographs that reflect who I am now.
